    Our Customer located in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Developer who will be responsible for design and development of data management and reporting solutions.  The role will cover full systems development life cycle (SDLC) phases including requirements gathering, data analysis, system design, development, implementation, and post-implementation support.  During the design phase, the role will work closely with the Data Architect to produce data models that follow industry best practices and company standards.  During the development phase, the role will perform database development, ETL (extraction, transformation, and loading) development, as well as report and dashboard development.

     

    Education & Experience

     

    Required

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related field with programming and database systems coursework or equivalent database administration experience.
    • 8 years of experience with Data Management, Data Warehousing, or Business Intelligence.
    • 5-7 years of experience as a BI Developer role. (ETL developer, report developer, etc.)
    • Experience with Data Warehouse, data mapping, data architecture, requirements management, data profiling, data quality, data analysis, data integrity, impact analysis, etc.
    • Experience in gathering business requirements from cross functional teams.
    • Proficient with SQL.
    • Strong experience with database, ETL, report and dashboard development.

     

    Preferred

    • Experience analyzing data related to health care.
    • Experience with SQL Server databases.
    • Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
    • Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or other comparable BI reporting tool.
    • Experience with Tableau.
    • Experience with ERWin, ERStudio, or other comparable data modeling tool.
    • Familiar with star and snowflake schemas.
    • Experience with data analysis in the healthcare industry.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with users, business analysts, developers, database administrators, and project managers on reporting and data management projects.
    • Gather reporting requirements from business users to produce requirements documents.
    • Collaborate with data architect to create conceptual, logical, and physical data models for reporting databases.
    • Develop database objects, create ETL processes, and produce reports and dashboards.
    • Implement changes and provide post-implementation user support and system support.
    • Provides informed feedback to the information Technology staff to support the design, development, and implementation of Data Architecture for historical reporting and analysis.
    • Identifies and advocates beneficial change opportunities.
    • Acts as a technical resource for application and data users, data administrators and others.
    • Ensures compliance with HIPAA, privacy and government security policies.
    • Creates databases, table spaces, tables, indexes, triggers, procedures, and all other objects.
    • Defines the content and structure of the database (schema) and advises users on efficient techniques for extracting data.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
    • Regular and reliable attendance is required.

    Strong knowledge of data warehouse design; data modeling; proficiency with SQL; strong experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL); strong experience with report and dashboard development; working knowledge of SQL Server databases; working knowledge of Oracle databases.
